The Royal Sonesta Harbor Court
If you are not local to Baltimore you must stay onsite at the Hotel. Book your room online to get the SJTI block rate of $169 per night plus taxes and fees. The hotel deadline is May 18, 5pm PST.
Please note the dates of the institute are June 8-12. SJTI has secured days prior to and after the program at the SJTI rate should you require an additional stay due to travel or care to explore Baltimore. These additional days are limited and will be booked based on availability.

These are three videos to help you know what to expect and how to get ready for SJTI.
USING THE COHORT 50 GOOGLE GROUP
We created a private Google group for your institute to provide a way for participants to connect prior to the session to discuss sharing travel or lodging and also to post articles as a part of the pre-work faculty ask you to complete before attending the institute.
We will only be using the email function of the group, not any of the online options. Simply type the email address listed at the left into the To: line of your email to send a message to the entire group.
With your first post, please help us begin to build the learning community by introducing yourself.
If you run into any issues with the group, please contact sjtiadmin@sjti.org.
INSTITUTE PRE-WORK
Because we believe in the whole community participating in educating one another, there is work for you to do and share prior to attending.
FACULTY
The faculty for this session are Jamie Washington, becky martinez, Alejandro Covarrubias, Beth Yohe, and Beth Douthirt Cohen.
ARRIVAL
Plan on being in Baltimore by 12:00 pm on Monday, June 8 so you can get settled, have lunch, and be ready to start at 2:00 pm. NOTE: Participants gather at 12:00 pm in the lobby to go to lunch together (OPTIONAL).
OPENING SESSION
SJTI will begin at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 8 in Westminster.
NOTE: If you run into travel delays that will impact your ability to make the opening session, please text Alejandro at 805.216.2079, and he will notify the faculty.
TRAVEL HOME
The institute will end by 11:30 am on Friday. Those traveling to the West Coast may need to arrange flights earlier in the day. During the institute please let faculty know if you must leave for the airport prior to 11:30 am on Friday morning and they will make sure you get your completion materials.
COVID
COVID, flu, and other very contagious airborne pathogens are still a part of our lives. We ask that, as a part of being in community together with members of unknown immunocompromised statuses, you come to the institute up-to-date on vaccines and boosters. If you are unable to receive vaccinations, or are not feeling well, please come prepared to mask.
ATTIRE
Dress casually and comfortably! Light layers are recommended as the meeting room could be cold and you may choose to leave the hotel for meals. The average June temperature in Baltimore is 83 degrees.
MEALS
There is a wide selection of restaurants within 10 minutes of the hotel (no car needed), with a variety of price points.
