Registration Policies

The deadline for applications is Friday, March 15, 2019.


Cost of registration is $750.00. If you are interested in participating, the deadline for applications is March 15, 2019. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance after April 1, 2019. Since there is a limited number of participants, we will be intentional in selecting participants to create a balance in social group identities as much as possible.

The Employee Identification Number for SJTI is: *32-0246935*. Your institution or place of work might need this number if you are requesting a reimbursement from them. SJTI also has a PayPal account if you need to pay using a credit card. Please note that there is a 5% surcharge if you use PayPal which brings the total to $787.50. Partial payments are accepted as well — just let us know what you need and we will work it out!

Meals are not included. Participants cover this expense on their own.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the fact that we select institute participants, 20 - 30 applicants are not selected each time we hold an institute. As a result, we have instituted the following cancellation policy. If you cancel your registration 45 - 30 days from the first day of the institute, there is a $100.00 penalty. If you cancel 12 - 30 days out, there is a $150.00 penalty. If you cancel under 15 days, there will be no refund.


SJTI works to create a learning environment that supports the needs of all participants. As a tax-exempt organization we are not in the financial position to regularly provide some accommodations, including ASL interpreters.
